The DI3 line has been far & away the most consistent line for me this season. I've taken 70% of my fish from F1 on it fished at a variety of depths from 10-20 seconds down, and yesterday it scored again, only on F2 this time.

I had messed around with a floater and nymphs for about three hours with only one fish caught and two lost for my pains. Finally I went down the the windward end, put on the DI3 40+ and after a bit of experimenting found that 10 seconds down with a 12' leader, a small booby on the point and a hare's ear on the dropper meant I could get the flies coming back just over the top of the weed. I'd pick up a bit of weed on the dropper about every third chuck, but that meant the flies were just in the right spot. 7 fish in the 90 minutes I was there proved the method. Total bag weight was 19lbs 12oz which no-one in their right minds could complain about.

Keep it going, Thames Water. This has got to be the best bank fishery in the country.
