| Am I right? Is the price of farmoor 1 to rise by 25%? No concessions, still 1 fish to take. Ok perhaps its my problem I live an hour away, but this increase plus extra petrol costs will simply mean I cannot afford to visit as often as I would like. I accept that price rises will happen but how is 25% justified? |

Hi Steve.
I'm sure your calculations are correct. At the time the original ticket price for F1 was set at the opening, TW took the decision to offer a discounted price as is common practice when launching a new venture. The new price brings it in line with current pricings and provides good value. It is always regrettable to impose price increases but it was considered that these prices reflect the good standard of fishing and will enable that standard to be maintained. Day ticket prices have remained static for some time now and TW have absorbed the increase in fish and food prices. Thank you for your support in the past and we hope you will continue to fish with us when you can.

Hi Royston Why oh Why do Thames water employees have to fix things that ain't broke new rules, 70% of anglers use rests to protect their gear from the abrasive nature of the reservoir, some rangers are prejudice against the practice senior anglers that have been supporting the fishery for many years find it hard to hold the rod for up to 8 hours and in winter 1 or 2 bites a day in freezing conditions holding the rod all day! lets face it none of the rangers are fishermen they have a go in summer for a couple of hours and that,s it, Ok if some anglers choose to leave it static then good luck to them they won't catch as many fish that's good thing. Lets get over these petty prejudices about how some people enjoy their fishing, fish and let fish. |
